From June 21 to June 24, 2026, I attended the scientific conference “22nd International Conference of the Metabolomics Society, Metabolomics 2026,” held in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The conference focused on various fields of metabolomics, divided into four sections: Metabolomics and Lipidomics in Health & Disease; Plants, Food, Environment, and Microbes; Technology Advancements; Computational Metabolomics, Statistics, and Bioinformatics.
On the first day, morning workshops were held, where we had the opportunity to work with various web-based tools designed for metabolomics and learn about new standards in the field. our team was represented by 4 posters and 1 oral presentation, presented by Aninda Mazumdar on the second day of the conference. In the following days, there were scientific lectures followed by poster sessions. Each day featured a plenary lecture by leading experts from the Metabolomics Society—Jessica Lasky-Su, Marta Cascante, Huiru Tang, Fidele Tugizimana, and Mariana Larraz Ferreira. The conference also included more than 340 posters and presentations by companies focused on metabolomics.
