The 3rd annual INTER-MICRO meeting and retreat with members of the International Scientific Advisory Board (ISAB) was held at Liblice Castle from 23 to 25 September 2026. The event brought together project members and collaborators to showcase their latest findings, exchange perspectives, and foster interdisciplinary partnerships. Our research group had a strong showing throughout the scientific program. Anna and Gábina both delivered talks during the main sessions, with Anna addressing “Advancing gut microbiome metabolomics: A derivatization-based approach” and Gábina discussing “Clincelin: A redesigned lincosamide with enhanced intracellular accumulation and adaptive binding to resistant ribosomes,” a talk that earned her 5th place for best presentation. Meanwhile, our team contributed extensively to the poster sessions: Tommaso presented on “AI-assisted automated analysis of untargeted metabolomics data,” Muffarah covered “Exploring the antibiotic-responsive regulatory function of ABCF proteins in antibiotic-producing bacteria,” Durga shared work on “Deciphering the signaling function of antibiotic-responsive ABC-F ATPase LmrC,” and Zdeněk presented “Chemical derivatization combined with molecular networking and in silico tools expands detection and annotation of polar microbiota metabolites.” Gábina won 5th place for a best presentation.
