The 5th Nordic Metabolomics Conference was the official annual conference of the Nordic Metabolomics Society and was held from September 28 to 30, 2026, at Uppsala Konsert & Kongress (UKK) in Uppsala, Sweden. The host city is home to Uppsala University, which has a longstanding tradition in Analytical Chemistry and Mass Spectrometry. The conference hosted the entire depth of the metabolomics community in the Nordic countries, featured high-profile international speakers, and included an Early Career Event as well as a beautifull dinner at Uppsala Castle. Our laboratory members were selected for oral presentation of their results, namely Aninda Mazumdar with Benchmarking Ion Mobility–Resolved LC–MS/MS Spectral Libraries Demonstrates the Need for Instrument-Specific Spectral Libraries and Taťána Gazárková with her topic Exploring human-associated Streptomyces as a source of novel bioactive metabolites using untargeted metabolomics. Anna and Rufin presented their work in poster section: Anna Michl: Advancing Gut Microbiome Metabolomics: A Derivatization-Based Approach, and Rufin Marie Toghueo Kouipou: Integrating Untargeted Metabolomics and Bioactivity Screening to Explore of Cameroonian bacteria for Antimicrobials Leads Discovery. Thank you guys for the representation!
