Meeting in Leiden, Netherlands, on June 4-5, 2026 with our collaborators

At the beginning of June 2026, Fanny attended the 3rd Cross-Channel C. difficile Forum in Leiden, Netherlands, on June 4–5, 2026. This event provided an opportunity to meet our collaborators from the Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC) and discuss in person our joint project on a novel erythromycin resistance mechanism in C. difficile. Although the meeting was small, the atmosphere was very friendly. All presentations were delivered by early-career researchers — PhD students or postdocs — while covering a wide range of topics. The visit to Leiden also allowed us to meet with one of our IMIC colleagues, Saran Natarajan, a postdoc in Libor Krasny’s team, who also collaborates with Wiep Klaas Smits.
