Join our international team of more than 500 researchers and take advantage of the state-of-the-art facilities at the Institute of Microbiology of the Czech Academy of Sciences. As part of our new four-year research grant funded by the Czech Ministry of Education (Johannes Amos Comenius Program), the Laboratory of Structural Biology and Cell Signaling of the Institute of Microbiology is opening a new postdoc position focused on development of mass spectrometry affinity workflows. The laboratory is in the new research center Biocev in Vestec near Prague.
Job description
- Planning and conducting laboratory experiments
- Analyzing and interpreting data
- Writing research papers and assisting with patents and grant proposals
- Presenting results at conferences
- Coordinating a small working team of 2-3 students
Requirements
- Ph.D. or equivalent in analytical chemistry or related fields relevant to modern mass spectrometry obtained no more than 5 years ago
- Experience in mass spectrometry and analytical chemistry
- Knowledge of protein workflows and photochemistry
- Good communication skills, motivation for teamwork
- Flexible and independent way of organizing work with clear focus on science. The successful candidate will enjoy working in a collaborative team but must be highly motivated and work independently.
- Excellent command of English is required. Minimum knowledge of Czech or Slovak is an advantage
