On Wednesday, June 10, 2026, IMIC Day took place! The morning program, held in a packed auditorium, was opened by Ing. Jiří Hašek, CSc., director of the IMIC CAS. In his presentation, he summarized the institute’s achievements in 2025 and outlined the tasks that lie ahead for us this year and next. The morning also featured a presentation by Radoslava Kartnerová, the Ombudsperson of the IMIC of the CAS, who introduced the audience to her role and the support options available to employees.
Awards for the best publications and theses
A highlight of the morning was the awards ceremony honoring outstanding scientific achievements in 2025. The director presented awards to the authors of the best publications, as well as to selected students who successfully defended their master’s and doctoral theses last year.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all our colleagues who received awards and thank them for representing the institute so well!
An afternoon full of fun and sports
In the afternoon, a variety of refreshments and sports activities were prepared for everyone. Although the weather wasn’t entirely on our side and there were occasional light showers, it didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits. Thank you to everyone who came, participated in sports, cheered on the teams, or helped organize this year’s IMIC Day. We’re already looking forward to next year’s event!
