Laboratory of Biotransformation
Job description
Laboratory of Biotransformation is looking for a biologically oriented scientist who will be able to independently conduct research activities within the assigned topic of lectin-carbohydrate interactions, develop and implement new assays, submit grant projects, and potentially lead a small team of students/lab technician(s).
Responsibilities and duties:
– development of immunochemical assays and in vitro functional assays in cell cultures
– phenotyping and labelling of cells, working with subcellular fractions, blotting techniques
– flow cytometry
– microscopy techniques
– cell culture and passaging, cryopreservation of cultures
Requirements
- Ph.D. or equivalent in biological, biochemical, or biomedical sciences
- previous experience in the field (working with cell cultures, flow cytometry, microscopy, experience in the study of protein-carbohydrate interactions)
- previous publication activity
- fluent English, both written and spoken
- fluent Czech
- good communication skills, motivation for teamwork
- self-motivation, reliability, ability to work independently, ability to supervise students
