Objective of the project:
SPIDoc’s project aims to train the next generation of scientists specialized in structural biology technologies, which include a cutting-edge approach combining mass spectrometry (MS) and X-ray single particle imaging (SPI) at MS SPIDOC. These technologies will allow a better knowledge of the dynamic nature of viral structures, which is necessary to determine the appropriate treatments. SPIDoc projects are specialized, highly interlinked and the proposed interdisciplinary training program aims to provide doctoral candidates with basic and advanced knowledge to build a common interdisciplinary language, to work in teams and to acquire deep knowledge through a combination of lectures and practical exercises. An important aspect will be given to data management and the creation of currently missing standards for MS native metadata.
