The Centre of DNA Sequencing is a non-profit scientific-service department of the Institute of Microbiology of the Czech Academy of Sciences, v.v.i. It serves as a “core facility” exclusively for research and development tasks.
The main focus of the Centre is the analysis of DNA samples by Sanger sequencing. For this purpose, the Centre has developed wide range of unique methods for extraction of nucleic acids from various biological materials and procedures for sequencing of complex and difficult DNA templates.
