The Act on public research institutions specifies the bodies of public research institutions and defines their powers.
According to the law, the institution has three bodies: the director, the institute’s board and the supervisory board.
The director is the statutory body of the institution and decides within their authority in all matters regarding the organization, unless these are entrusted by law to the authority of the institute’s board, supervisory board or founder.
