Laboratory of Immunotherapy

Vannucci LAB

Our laboratory mainly deals with the study of immunological processes in the tumor microenvironment.

By studying tumor development in an animal experimental model, we observe:

  • Which important tissue structures adapt to tumour development and growth
  • How these changes are dependent on local changes in the immune environment
  • How this environment promotes tumor growth or, conversely, its elimination
  • How we can increase or reactivate our defenses against cancer, including metastasis, both locally (in the tumor) and systemically (throughout the body)
