Laboratory of Immunotherapy
Vannucci LAB
Our laboratory mainly deals with the study of immunological processes in the tumor microenvironment.
By studying tumor development in an animal experimental model, we observe:
- Which important tissue structures adapt to tumour development and growth
- How these changes are dependent on local changes in the immune environment
- How this environment promotes tumor growth or, conversely, its elimination
- How we can increase or reactivate our defenses against cancer, including metastasis, both locally (in the tumor) and systemically (throughout the body)
